Summer Sampler Tour 1 of 3

This summer, HCM and the Louisville Historical League invite you to tour 10 beautiful church buildings in the Highlands. People will have the opportunity to learn about the architecture and history of these congregations that support HCM. Churches will be open from 2-4 pm each of the three Sunday afternoons. On June 13th, open churches will be: Church of the Advent Episcopal Saint Brigid Catholic Church Highland Baptist Church Highland Presbyterian Church ~Masks and social distancing to be observed~ There is no fee but donations may be made to Highlands Community Ministries Click Map Image to see all locations together:

Beginning Yoga with Jeannie Kennedy

Highlands Community Campus 1228 E. Breckinridge St., Louisville, KY

Jeannie offers a gentler style of yoga using props for support. 8 week sessions, $40 each, between Sept. and May. Summer sessions TBD. You can try out the first class to see if it’s right for you and if not, you won’t be charged. Session payment due by the end of the first class. Registration for HYR Winter Basketball and Futsal

Registration is now open! Late registrations beginning 12/23/21 will have an additional fee. Click here for the HYR Website for more info and to register. Spring Clean Drive for Personal Hygiene Items

To fill our stores of personal hygiene items for our food pantry clients, we are seeking items that can be dropped off in a drive-through fashion at the front entrance to our Food Pantry, 1228 E. Breckinridge St. at Barret Ave.

Tai Chi for Balance and Fall Prevention

Weekly on Tuesdays, intermediate 11:30-12:30pm, beginners1-2pm, advanced 2-3 pm Ongoing class - join anytime. Tai Chi for Balance focuses on strategies to use everyday for those struggling with balance issues.  Strengthening your inner core and learning techniques to keep your balance at any time in any situation. Class sessions run continuously, 8 weeks for $40 per session.  You can try out the first class to see if its right for you and if not, then there is no fee.  Join anytime.  You can call Lisa directly at 502/533-8208 for more information.
