HCM'S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

When: 3/13/2020 - 3/20/2020

In these uncertain times of the Coronavirus outbreak, please rest assured that HCM is very concerned and following orders sent down from Louisville Metro and the Governor's office to ensure the safety of our clients, volunteers, and staff.

We are doing everything possible to continue to provide vital services to our residents in need while also tamping down the spread of germs.

HCM is operating the following services during the COVID-19 shutdown:

-Food pantry is open Mon - Fri, 10am to noon
Only 3 clients are allowed in at any time to allow for social distancing.

-Emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities is ongoing, but by phone appointment only.
Call 451-3695 extension 213 to make an appointment with Danah Smith.

New Procedures for Meals on Wheels and Senior Center Lunches:

Louisville Metro has changed hot food procedures for Seniors 60+ who are Meals on Wheels and Senior Community Center clients. Meals on Wheels clients will receive 5 frozen meals per week in one delivery instead of a hot meal delivered once daily. Seniors that would normally attend community lunches can receive a 5-meal pack also.

For our home-bound, Meals on Wheels clients, HCM will be picking up the frozen meals every Friday and setting up a pickup location in our parking lot for our volunteer Meals on Wheels drivers to take on their routes.

Seniors 60+ that attend Community Lunches can call the Louisville Metro Office of Resilience and Community Services at 502/574-5223 to pickup a meal pack. There are 5 distribution sites, one per business day, and are arranged by zip code.

Child Care Centers:

HCM's three child care centers are closed until further notice.

Group Activities:

HCM's Group activities are postponed until further notice:
